Can only one person use the FreeFastX license?
The FreeFastX license is a concurrent license. Only one person can use FreeFastX on the same Linux server at one time. So when you are not using FreeFastX yourself (no active sessions), another person can connect to the FreeFastX server on the same Linux machine. (also see #4)
If I still have a session running but I turn off my PC, can someone else use FreeFastX?
No! FreeFastX only becomes available to another user when you have terminated all your active FreeFastX sessions on the Linux server.
Can I connect to multiple servers or run multiple sessions on the same server?
Your FreeFastX license will let you run multiple sessions on one server. Connecting to multiple servers requires the commercial edition, which is available from the FastX Store.
What if more people want to use FreeFastX on the same server? Can they activate their license?
Only one FreeFastX license can be installed on a Linux server. Others can only access the Linux server when you are no longer running any sessions on that Linux server. Multi-user environments require the commercial FastX edition.
If I have sessions running on the Linux server and I go home, can I reconnect to them from home?
Yes, your active sessions are still running on the server and you can connect to them at any time from anywhere.
Can I move my FreeFastX license to a different server?
Your FreeFastX license is a permanent license, tied to the hostid on one server. If you installed it on the wrong server by mistake or you have retired the original server, contact us and we can help you relocate the FreeFastX license.
